KSU held presidential public forum; 4 candidates presented plans for the university

Tabuk City, Kalinga—Four qualified presidential aspirants of the Kalinga State University were officially introduced and presented to the public during the Search for KSU President public forum held by the university on Wednesday at the KSU gymnasium—main campus in Bulanao, Tabuk City.

 

The public forum aimed to promote transparency, community engagement, and inclusivity in the process of choosing the next KSU President. The forum afforded the candidates a distinctive opportunity to interact with the public and express their perspectives regarding the university's future.

 

During the event, the four presidential aspirants, namely KSU Vice President for Academics and Student Development Marilou B. Adora, PhD; KSU Vice President for Administration and Finance Joy Grace P. Doctor, PhD; KSU College of Advance Studies Dean Paulino P. Reyes II, PhD; and KSU College of Forestry Robert A. Rodolfo, PhD.

 

The applicants met every condition of the stringent hiring procedure.

 

Each of them was given 15 minutes to present and explain their proposed vision, mission, and goals. They were then asked questions by the audience, giving them an opportunity to express their thoughts and answers.

 

Message of outgoing KSU President Eduardo T. Bagtang

 

In the meantime, outgoing KSU President Eduardo T. Bagtang, in his speech during the event, thanked the school’s board of regents for allowing the forum to be done and acknowledged the presence of the school teachers, staff, and students for attending the event.

 

As for the four presidential applicants, Bagtang expressed advance congratulations to them, saying, “At this point, even if this is still probably the middle of the process, I would like to say congratulations to you.”
