Lady faked pregnancy to steal goods from supermarket in Baguio City

Baguio City, Philippines – A 21-year-old lady was arrested on Sunday, November 20 by authorities after faking pregnancy to steal goods from a supermarket in Baguio City.

Upon entering a certain supermarket in town, she took various goods and hid each item in her fake baby bump, narrated the police through Mt. Province Broadcasting Corporation – MPBC.

An employee noticed her unusual movement and notified the security guard on duty.

When confronted, items from the supermarket costing more than P5,645 were recovered from her fake pregnant belly.

The lady who was said to be residing in Crystal Cave, Baguio City is now under the custody of Abanao Police Station.

Last month, a 40-year-old farmer wanted for robbery at Zandueta Street in Barangay AZCKO (Abanao ‑ Zandueta ‑ Kayong ‑ Chugum ‑ Otek) was arrested by the police.

Authorities warned citizens to be alert to avoid becoming a victim of such crimes.
