Leading By Example: Gov. Edduba leads Kalinga Bulls in CARAA Meet 2025

Benguet, Philippines – Kalinga Governor James Eddubagives his all-out support to the ‘Kalinga Bulls’, ensuring theyhave what they need by being with them on the ground.

 

Edduba travelled with the delegation on a bus to La Trinidad, Benguet and walked with them during the opening parade of the 2025 CARAA Meet at the Benguet Sports Complexon February 23. The governor wanted to ensure the well-being of the athletes and to show them that the Provincial Local Government Unit is behind them as they compete in the biggest sporting event in the Cordillera region.

 

“Nu ipakita tayo tisuporta, uray man lang presensiya, ketmakatulongdaytoykaniada. Let's go Kalinga! Let's put up a good fight for our province,” the governor wrote in his Facebook page.

                       

Edduba also called on the iKalingas to cheer and support their kailyans, saying, “Let us rally behind our athletes as they represent Kalinga in the biggest sporting event in the region.”

 

The Kalinga Bulls clinched their first three gold medals on February 25 through April Kay Balanay who won gold in the 50-meter breaststroke and through Adrienne Basing-at and Imari Taclawan who snatched the much-coveted medal in the 48kg and 44kg in the wrestling cadets, respectively.


As of 10:00 a.m. of February 26, Baguio City still leads the medal tally with 76 gold medals, followed by Benguet with 27, and Apayao with 10.
