LGBTQ member in Cagayan kills self after argument with boyfriend

Santa Ana, Cagayan -A person's decision to commit suicide is often influenced by many factors.

For the 28-year-old member of LGBTQ in Cagayan, love life problems led him to take his own life on Saturday, April 20, 2024.

The deceased, identified as alias “Josh”, was a resident of Santa Ana, Cagayan, and a manager of a lending company.

Police Major Ranolfo Gabatin, Chief of PNP Sta. Ana, in an interview with the Cagayan Provincial Information Office, said their investigation revealed that Josh might have killed himself due to the misunderstandings he had with his boyfriend.

Their conclusion comes after Josh’s companions reported to them that they heard him arguing with his boyfriend before the incident happened, particularly on April 15.

Days later, Josh’s body was found by his companions hanging in the kitchen of their house in Barangay Visitacion.

They then rushed him to a hospital in the municipality, but the attending physician declared he was already dead upon arrival.

Further investigations are being conducted by the police to determine the real cause of the suicide.
