LTO Kalinga suspends all transactions due to lockdown

Tabuk City, Kalinga – Land Transportation Office (LTO) Kalinga branch has temporarily suspended all their transactions since November 9, 2020 due to an immediate surgical lockdown imposed on the entire office after an employee tested positive of the Coronavirus disease.

The lockdown may be enforced throughout this entire week.

The patient has been a close contact of an immediate family member of a recent positive case from NIA-Kalinga. She is asymptomatic and has been under quarantine for a week together with her family.

“Meron kasi tayong CoViD positive na employee na direct contact ng isang nag-positive din that is why we have to close transactions in the meantime. LTO (Kalinga office) is close for disinfection as per advise din ng ating regional director… para din sa safety ng mga clients,” LTO-Kalinga Provincial Director Jennilyn Angog informed through a virtual interview.

All employees of LTO-Kalinga who were direct contacts of the employee have already been swab tested and are now under quarantine.

Angog advised the public to process their motor vehicle registrations, renewal and application of drivers' licenses and permits, back-end transactions, apprehensions, and other transactions or processes at their nearest LTO office.

“They can transact to the nearest LTO offices muna aside from our office but I am hoping that we will resume as soon as we receive our swab results if they turn out negative. We will inform,” she said.
