Lubuagan, Kalinga—The Municipality remains as one of the peaceful localities in the province with only two crime incidents recorded for the first and second quarter of 2021, reports the Philippine National Police (PNP) Lubuagan.

Lubuagan Police Chief, Police Captain Garry Gayamos, during the Sangguniang Panlalawigan session on July 13, informed that the peace and order and public safety situation in the municipality is peaceful.

The 2 crime incidents recorded from January to June 2021 involve a vehicular traffic incident in March and malicious mischief in May. The vehicular traffic incident was cleared and filed in court while the malicious mischief was solved and amicably settled.

“Sa ngayon po, masasabi natin na ang sitwasyon ng Lubuagan tungkol sa pangkapayapaan ay peaceful naman,” he said, adding that the Lubuagan PNP had been continuously conducting community engagements and information drives to sustain peace, order, and public safety in the said locality.

He reported that for the same period last year or from January to June in 2020, there were eight crime incidents documented, of which seven were solved, while one case was filed in court with the suspect still at large.
