Lubuagan Police recovered P1.8M dried Marijuana hidden under bushes


Lubuagan, Kalinga — Seventy one pieces of dried Marijuana bricks and two pieces of tubular were recovered by the uniformed personnel along the road in Pucoc, Barangay Dangoy early morning of December 30, 2020.


Based on police report, at around 4:00 in the morning the personnel in Lubuagan received a tip about an alleged transportation of Marijuana which prompted them to patrol at the area and set up a checkpoint.


While patrolling, personnel from the 2nd Kalinga Provincial Mobile Force Company discovered through the headlight coming from their vehicle these four sacks partly hidden under the bushes just above the road in Pucoc. When they opened them, the dried Marijuana bricks and tubulars were found.

The items were estimated to weigh 73 kilograms and worth P1,825,000. They were brought to Lubuagan Municipal Police Station for custody and proper disposition.


Meantime, the Lubuagan LGU sent a warning saying it does not condone such acts and that those who go against the law shall be apprehended by the authorities.


The LGU likewise asked its constituents to help in keeping the municipality clean from illegal and prohibited substances.
