Tabuk City, Kalinga – Highlighting Lubuagan’s long woven stories of resilience and unity, the young street dancers from the municipality worked their way to the top spot in the 2025 Kalinga Bodong Street Dance Competition.

The dancers from the town competed against five other municipalities and the city during the street dance showdown on February 13 at the Kalinga Astrodome.

Lubuagan, whose heritage of embroidered weaving passed from its ancestors down to the generations of today, amazed the viewers with their synchronized movements, energy, and storytelling. Apart from being proclaimed the champion, the team was awarded a cash incentive of P100,000 including additional cash gifts from sponsors.

Coming second in the competition is the Municipality of Balbalan who carried in their performance a depiction of the well-preserved nature of the town and honoring their people by portraying one of the main sources of livelihood of the iBalbalans which is farming.

Said municipality was awarded with P90,000 cash prize.

Pasil, on the other hand, earned the third top spot with their gongs, songs, and dance which they stressed as powerful unifiers leading to peace and progress.  They were awarded P80,000 incentive.

Other competing participants – Tanudan, Tabuk City, and Tinglayan, received P50,000 consolation prizes.
