Magna cum laude grad from Isabela tops CPA board exam

Isabela, Philippines – A magna cum laude graduate from Ilagan, Isabela proved her brilliance as she landed on the list of examinees with the highest scores in the September - October 2023 CPA Licensure Examination.

Frances Anne B. Foronda, a graduate of Isabela State University Echague Main Campus, scored 90.50 percent to make it to the Top 2 in said board exam. She was among the pioneering batch of Accountancy, Business and Management (ABM) Strand of Isabela National High School (INHS).

As announced, 2,740 or 31.37 percent out of 8,734 passed the exams held on Sept. 30, Oct. 1, and 2, 2023.

Of the examinees from ISU–Echague, first-time takers registered a 100 percent passing rate, while repeaters got a 66.67 percent passing rate.

“The Isabela State University Academic Community takes pride in the exemplary performance of Ms. Foronda and all its new Certified Public Accountants! Your ISU Family is very proud of you!” exclaimed ISU in its congratulatory post.
