Maid in Baguio City steals over P100,000 cash from employer

Baguio City, Philippines - Authorities warned the public to be meticulous in hiring domestic helpers, following a recent incident.

The police in Baguio City are now in search of a maid who took off after stealing over P100,000 cash from her employer.

The complainant Lolita Lomboy Calderon narrated she hired the 32-year-old maid back in January 2022.

In a report by Mt. Province Broadcasting Corporation - MPBC earlier today, Nov. 30, it was said that the employer first lost her P20,000 cash she hid in her room. The maid, accordingly, admitted her act and apologized for what she did. For this reason, Calderon did not pursue charges against her.

However, just this Sunday, Nov. 27, the maid stole a huge amount of money -P100,000.

The maid from San Francisco, La Union can longer be reached after her employer discovered that her money is gone.

Qualified theft was already filed against the suspect.
