Adonis of Mt. Province is Baguio’s candidate in Mr. Earth Philippines 2022

Baguio City, Philippines – An Adonis of Sagada and Bontoc, Mt. Province is representing the Summer Capital in the 10th Edition of the Search for Mister Earth Philippines 2022.

The search is said to be the only credible male pageant in the country that serves as an avenue for socio-environmental platforms and nationalism.

As one of the chosen Top 12, the 30-year-old Kurt Justin Santiago is now preparing for the coronation that is slated for Dec. 17. The venue is yet to be announced by the pageant organizers.

The candidate from Baguio City finished nursing and is now working as a freelance consultant. He decided to enter the world of pageantry to express his advocacy.

“We are actually focused on the 17 sustainable development goals of the United Nations that involve battling pollution, battling hunger, poverty... Kasi nga, kung iisipan mo di ba dito sa mundo ang pinaka-source naman talaga natin ng pagkain ay ang kalikasan tama ba? And if we do no not take care of nature, then saan talaga manggagaling ang pagkain natin? That’s why we suffer from hunger,” he expressed in his interview with a local media.

“Coming here and competing for Mr. Earth Ph 2022 is one of the major steps where I really would like to begin because I’ve realized that climate change is a battle that we cannot win overnight. It takes a lot of efforts collectively from people around to achieve a goal as such,” the candidate stated in a separate interview.

He is among the Top 4 Best in Introduction and will strive to bring home the crown.
