Updated: Dec 28, 2023

Camalaniugan, Cagayan – If not retrieved by authorities, the Cagayan River might have become the final resting place of the still unidentified man found floating on said river on Christmas Day, December 25.

The cadaver was recovered along the Cagayan River in Centro Norte Camalaniugan.

When found, the dead man was wearing 'maong' pants and an orange shirt marked with ‘Raider Swimming’.

There was also a ring on his left pinky finger. He is around 5’2 in height and medium-built.

Camalaniugan police are now appealing to the public, particularly those with missing relatives, to coordinate with their office about the cadaver found.

The body is currently at JGO Funeral Services for post-mortem care.

For possible claimants, Camalaniugan police can be contacted at 0917-514-6905.

To recall, two dead bodies were also found in the province, particularly in Tuguegarao, over the weekend and on Monday.

The first one is a female cadaver found on Saturday, December 23. The body is that of a 50-year-old resident of Larion Alto.

The second one, in the meantime, is the remains of a 24-year-old man who was said to have fallen off his motorcycle and plunged into the Pinacanauan River within the Capatan Overflow Bridge over the weekend.
