Dead man found floating in Pinukpuk's Chico River

Pinukpuk, Kalinga – A lifeless body of a man was found floating along the Chico River in Catabbogan, Pinukpuk on Wednesday, June 26.

The body was sighted by residents who immediately notified authorities for its retrieval.

Responding to the call, personnel of the Pinukpuk Municipal Police Station and Bureau of Fire-Pinukpuk headed to Sitio Caritanan, Catabbogan to retrieve the victim's body.

He was later brought to the Pinukpuk District Hospital were he was declared dead by his attending physician.

As of this writing, the dead body is now under the care of Funeraria Jose- Carbonel in Villalaida, Tuao, Cagayan.

As authorities establish the identity of the victim, they appeal on the public, particularly those with missing relatives to coordinate with their office.

The man is about 5 ft. in height, has dark complexion, slender, and was wearing an athletic shirt with 'ARMY' markings and a black short.
