Man brings gun to a restobar, arrested

Tabuk City, Kalinga — A 27-year-old man was arrested Saturday night, March 6 after carrying a firearm at Boulevard Restobar in Bulanao.


In a report, the police went to the said restobar after receiving a call from a concerned citizen at around 11 o’clock about an alleged man carrying a firearm. Upon arrival at the area, they saw this customer with a grip of gun tucked in his right hip.


Having not able to show pertinent documents, he was arrested and was brought along with the caliber 45 armscor and a magazine with 6 live ammunitions to Bulanao Sub-station for documentation and disposition .

Kalinga Police Provincial Director Police Colonel Davy Vicente Limmong then is encouraging further the public to report anybody in possession of illegal firearms and those that might have been involved in a crime, “upang maiwasan ang mas mabigat pang mga krimen lalo na sa mga taong hindi lisensyado ang kanilang baril.”


He also reminded gun owners to be responsible and make sure to secure firearm license if their license is already expired or if it nears expiration date. “Pumunta lang sa regional office ng PNP Firearm and Explosive Units,” he said.
