Man accidentally shot dead fellow hunter in Mt. Province

Mt. Province, Philippines – A 33-year-old man died after he was accidentally shot by his companion while they were on a hunting trip at Mount Nalikew in Sabangan on April 17.

The incident happened around 11:00 p.m. on Monday, according to the initial investigation of the police as reported by the Mt. Province Broadcasting Corporation.

Authorities revealed that the group of hunters was chasing a deer when the suspect, Apolonio Chaclag, accidentally shot the victim, Rizaldy Langdeo, with his improvised gun.

The victim died on the spot as the bullet went to his head. He was brought to Luis Hora Memorial Regional Hospital for the removal of the bullet before he was brought home to Monamon Norte, Bauko.

Chaclag, on the other hand, turned himself in to the Sabangan police and likewise surrendered the improvised firearm.
