Man in Aparri, Cagayan put behind bars for raping 15-yr-old step daughter

Aparri, Cagayan - A 44-year-old man in Aparri, Cagayan was arrested by the authorities on July 7, 2024, after being accused of raping his 15-year-old stepdaughter for almost a year.

In his interview with a local media, PNP Aparri investigator Jayson Lazaro relayed that the suspect whose identity is withheld, was apprehended at his relative’s house in Barangay Giddam, Abulug, Cagayan.

He was listed as the 7th most wanted person in Cagayan Valley.

According to an investigation, the suspect started molesting the daughter of his live-in partner in Aparri in 2023.

When his live-in partner discovered the sexual abuse, the suspect ran away and hid in Abulug, where he was later arrested.

At present, the suspect is in the custody of Aparri Police Station.

He now faces charges of statutory rape and acts of lasciviousness.
