Baguio City, Philippines – A 63-year-old man in Baguio City will face attempted homicide charges to be filed by his own son.

The son whose identity was withheld was then watching a television on Tuesday, May 30, when the incident happened, stated the report of the City Police Office through Mt. Province Broadcasting Corporation – MPBC.

While he was watching with his other family members, his father came out from his room holding a bolo. It was claimed by the victim that his dad shouted at him, asking for him to leave the house.

This caused heated argument between the two and it came to a point when the elder tried hacking his own son who was able to seize the weapon.

After calming the two, the family decided to bring the matter to the attention of barangay officials for resolution. However, the son insisted to file a case against his father.

Pertinent documents were being prepared for the official filing of attempted homicide, as of Thursday.
