Woman in Baguio raped by ex-BF after returning his stuff

Baguio City, Philippines - A 32-year-old man in Baguio City has been arrested by authorities after his ex-girlfriend reported him for rape on Wednesday, August 30.


The suspect, whose identity is kept, is a driver and a caretaker of a construction firm in the city.

The victim, 27, confessed to police that she went to his ex-boyfriend's place to return his belongings when the suspect took advantage of her.


After sexually molesting the victim, the suspect released the victim who later reported the incident to police.


The accused is now in police custody and will be charged with rape.


Meanwhile, the latest data from Police Regional Office – Cordillera showed that there are 42 rape cases in the region as of the second quarter of this year. Baguio has recorded 10 of such crime.


Of the 42 cases, the youngest among the victims is a 4-year-old while for sexual offenders, a 15-year-old.
