Man in Cagayan dies after being shot 12 times


Camalaniugan, Cagayan – Police are still investigating a shooting incident that left a man dead on Wednesday night, October 19, in Barangay Fusina, Camalaniugan, Cagayan.


Camalaniugan police said the man was shot 12 times by an unidentified suspect which caused the victim’s immediate death.

Initial investigation revealed the victim was on board his motorcycle and was on his way to work when the incident happened.


Following a series of gunfire heard in the barangay, residents in the area took a look and found a man lying on the street and with blood all over him.


Relatives later positively identified the victim as Edward Tesi, 42, a company driver at Grupo Medico De Dyos Hospital.


Scene of the Crime Operatives already processed the crime scene where they recovered 12 pieces of bullet wastes.


In a statement, Chief of Police - Police of the municipality, Major Aurea Avon Lohan said she strongly condemns any kind of criminality especially the case of Tesani as no one has the right to take lives and do something unjust in any way.


At present, police are still working on obtaining the identity of the killer.
