Man in Cagayan rapes stepdaughter, arrested after 2 years

Cagayan, Philippines – An 11-year-old girl in Tuao, Cagayan was allegedly raped by her stepfather and left her pregnant.

The victim said she was repeatedly abused from October to December 2020, the Cagayan Police Provincial Office reported.

The horrendous incidents happened every time her mother was not around. She further claimed that her stepdad threatened to kill her and her mom if she told anyone about what transpired between him and her.

After four months of being silent, the minor who got pregnant went to report the incident to the police with her aunt.

The suspect’s warrant of arrest for rape with no recommended bail was released on June 7, 2022. On July 4, he was arrested by the authorities.

The 60-year-old who was listed as top 7 most wanted person in the Cagayan Valley is currently under the custody of the Tuao Police Station.
