Man shot dead at a resto bar in Tabuk City

Tabuk City, Kalinga – A 37-year-old man died on the spot while his companion was unconscious after they were shot at around 12:45 AM on September 8 in Barangay San Juan, Tabuk City.

According to the initial investigation of the Tabuk City police, the two victims, identified as Joegie Cabicungan and Orland Dave Pascual, were drinking at the front open area of a resto bar when a man who was also drinking at another table stood from his chair and went to the two and shot them several times.

A circulating video showed the victims tried to run away but it was late when they realized the man was carrying a gun and was going to shoot them at close range. The two men were rushed to the Kalinga Provincial Hospital.

Unfortunately, Cabicungan was declared dead on arrival while Pascual remains to be unconscious.

A hot pursuit operation was launched against the suspect and his cohorts, which resulted in their arrest. The case is still being investigated by the authorities.
