Man who raped a boy in Itogon, Benguet arrested

Itogon, Benguet – A man identified as the top 1 most wanted in Itogon accused of abusing and raping a male minor was arrested by police authorities in Alpha Ville, Tuding a month after the crime incident.

Police report states that the male victim was ‘lustfully abused and threatened’ by the sometime in April 2022.

This happened while the victim was cleaning their backyard, where he was allegedly pulled by the suspect in a corner and did the heinous crime.

Said suspect was arrested for violating Republic Act 7610 or the Special Protection of Children against Abuse, Exploitation and Discrimination Act and by virtue of the warrant of arrest issued by Presiding Judge Mariettar Brawner-Cualing of the Regional Trial Court, First Judicial Region, Branch 9, La Trinidad, Benguet.

Following the arrest, the suspect was brought to Itogon MPS for the documentation.

Meantime, alongside the arrest of the municipality’s Top 1 most wanted, another man in the municipality tagged as Benguet’s Top 10 Most Wanted Person was also arrested by operatives in Naiba, Barangay Tuding, for the crime of Rape and violation of RA 7610.

Both suspects have recommended bail for violation of RA 7610 – P108, 000 for the first suspect and P200, 000 for the latter. However, the rape cases filed against them is non-bailable.
