Man who raped, impregnated teenage daughter arrested, faces 2 more charges

Cagayan, Philippines – The man who raped and impregnated his own daughter was finally arrested on July 24 in Barangay Villaida in Tuao, with two additional charges filed against him.

Cagayan Provincial Information Office reported that the suspect, alias Roberto, was not immediately recognized by the patrolling police when they called out a man who was not wearing face mask and face shield while outside.

The man didn’t comply, prompting the police to approach him that led them to identify and recognize him as the suspect in raping his daughter.

The suspect is charged with Incestuous Rape for molesting his 17-year-old daughter since January 2021. The assault went on until the victim became pregnant.

However, apart from Incestuous Rape, the suspect is also facing a violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 and RA 10951 after he was caught in possession of a suspected dried marijuana and a homemade firearm with 2 ammunitions.
