Man in Cagayan repeatedly ignored advice to see doctor, found dead later

Santa Praxedes, Cagayan - A farmer who had been dead for three to four days was discovered inside his house Thursday, August 24, in Centro 1, Sta. Praxedes.

A certain Kenneth Baldugo was the first one to find the victim’s body, which was already rotting.

While heading towards the victim’s house, Baldugo said he smelled a foul odor coming from inside. When he checked the house, it was then he saw Reynaldo Agarpao, 39, lying on his bed, and was already lifeless.

According to the victim’s family, Agarpao was suffering from a bleeding peptic ulcer and severe anemia when he was still alive.

The victim was even advised to seek medical attention and to be confined at a medical facility, but he refused.

His remains were immediately buried by his family at the Municipal Cemetery of said town since it was already in a state of decomposition.

To recall, a similar incident where a decomposing body was found also transpired at a vacant lot in Mambacag, Tuao on July 21. It was said that the victim might have been bitten by a snake while heading home, resulting in his death.
