Lubuagan, Kalinga — This year’s elections in Lubuagan went smoothly and without atrocities and disturbance by the members of the communist terrorist groups, says Philippine National Police Police Captain Alexander Malasi, Lubuagan Chief of Police.

While the municipality was placed under red category or ‘area of grave concern’ due to past election-related violence, the May 2022 elections was generally peaceful in Lubuagan.

Malasi said that the remaining CTG members in the municipality didn’t show up, disturb, and didn’t harass the uniformed personnel and the people who went to their respective precincts to cast their votes.

“In general, iti 2022 national and local elections ditoy Munisipyo iti Lubuagan ket manageable, peaceful, and under control,” he said.

A week since the casting of ballots, he added that the different political candidates that vied for different positions have accepted the result of the poll.

“Dagiay naabak, accepted met kanyada ta agiinnisem da, aglilinamano da,” he said.
