Mayor Chilagan urges Aguinaldo couples to join “Kasalang Bayan” on Valentine’s Day

Aguinaldo, Ifugao – Mayor Gaspar Chilagan Jr. and the whole of Aguinaldo local government unit in Ifugao province are calling for unmarried couples to join the mass wedding dubbed as “Kasalang Bayan” slated for Valentine’s Day 2023.

The mass wedding is organized by the municipal government for couples who want to be married but cannot afford and exchange “I do’s” in a memorable wedding ceremony.

In connection with the Civil Registration Month celebration, application for marriage license and solemnization will be free of charge, announced Aguinaldo LGU online.

Couples who wish to be tied as husbands and wives only need to submit a birth certificate issued either by the Local Civil Registry Office (LCRO) or Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA), a Certificate of No Marriage Record (CENOMAR), and Community Tax Certificate (Cedula) or valid identification (ID).

Both parties must submit copies of said requirements to the Office of the Local Civil Registrar on or before February 04.

The couples will be solemnized as one by Mayor Chilagan Jr. as they enjoy the gift of marriage and continue their journey toward building a family.
