Mayor Dagadag calls on constituents to continue donating blood and saving lives

Tanudan, Kalinga – With Tanudan Local Government Unit’s sustained support to the Philippine Red Cross, Mayor Jaedicke Rhoss Dagadag asked constituents to continue donating blood to keep saving the lives of other people.

Just recently, the LGU received a plaque of recognition from the Philippine Red Cross for their ‘unwavering support and for promoting various humanitarian services of the Philippine Red Cross through training, fund generation, and other services’.

Tanudan Municipal Hospital was also cited for its ‘continued support and partnership’ with the agency’s blood service program through mobile blood donation.

The plaque and the certificate were received by Mayor Dagadag and the Chief of the hospital, Dr. Tatcha Kinao on December 19, 2023.

Dagadag stressed that donating blood doesn’t only save the lives of those in need of transfusion, it also benefits the donor by reducing the chances of severe heart diseases and helps in burning calories as the body works to replenish blood.

For this reason, the mayor encouraged his constituents and the public who are fit to donate to participate in blood donation drives.

“Nu adda kabalinan tayo nga ag-donate ti dara ket ag-donate tayo kuma tapnu matulungan tayo dagiti agkasapulan ken makasalbar tayo iti biyag. Mayat ti agdon-donate, ta ti dara basta clear ta kasi pumigsa ta ken mumayat ti rikna,” he said.
