Mayor Dagadag highlights impact of Tanudan Municipal Hospital on constituents

Tanudan, Kalinga – “Dakkel talaga nga tulong daytoy ospital karkaru kanyami ditoy Upper Tanudan,” says Mayor Jaedicke Rhoss Dagadag, describing the impact of having an improved hospital in town.

The mayor made the statement during the groundbreaking ceremony of the 25-bed capacity Tanudan Municipal Hospital at Sitio Banagao, Poblacion on August 08.

He conveyed that this new and better medical facility will be of huge help to the constituents in Tanudan particularly the barangays in the upper areas like Lubo, Gaang, Dacalan, Mangali, and Taloctoc. These places are at least two or more hours away from the City of Tabuk where people in Kalinga rush to seek medical intervention.

Apart from said communities, the erection of the Tanudan Municipal Hospital will also help unclog hospitals in Tabuk as patients will already be managed in the town.

While waiting for the facility, Mayor Dagadag assures that in cases of emergency, the town’s four ambulances are always on standby to ferry patients to hospitals outside Tanudan.

“Habang awan pay lang dayta, mangipangpangaasi ak pay lang kadagitoy kakailyan nga awaten ken anusan tayo pay bassit ta dandani met langenen. Adda dagitoy ambulance nga nadawat tayo nga isu usaren tayo pay lang nga mangitar-taray kadagitoy pasyente tayo,” he said.

As for the health personnel of the Tanudan Municipal Hospital, he encouraged them to always smile when dealing with patients as this will also impact the latter’s recovery. He also enjoined them to maintain a harmonious relationship in the workplace.
