Mayor Dagadag’s Basketball, Volleyball Cup opens in Tanudan

Tanudan, Kalinga – Tanudan constituents and officials display skills and passion for basketball and volleyball in the ongoing Mayor’s Cup in the municipality.

The tournament is one of the activities prepared for the 60th Tanudan Founding Anniversary and the 9th Kape Festival celebration this June.

Tanudan Local Government Unit led by Mayor Jaedicke Rhoss Dagadag decided to hold the Mayor’s Cup in this year’s Tanudan festival to give athletes the opportunity to shine and showcase their competence in sports, especially in basketball and volleyball.

The Mayor’s Cup officially opened on Saturday, June 3 in Banagao, Poblacion, Tanudan, and will run until the championship game scheduled on June 25, 2023.

Games at different brackets are being held every weekend and they are being participated by players from the 16 barangays of Tanudan, according to Information Officer Designate and Executive Assistant John Ryan Awingan.

Winners of the Mayor’s Cup will be receiving prizes.

Other events for the 60th Tanudan Founding Anniversary and the 9th Kape Festival will be conducted on June 24 -25.
