Mayor Dagadag tells new barangay and SK officials to always consider people’s best interest


Tanudan, Kalinga – As they are now set to assume post, Mayor Jaedicke Rhoss Dagadag enjoined newly-elected barangay and youth officials to always consider the best interest of the people and the community.

On Nov. 04, 256 barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan who were chosen and re-elected by the people in Tanudan took their oath of office.


Mayor Dagadag, in a statement, conveyed his felicitations to the new set of leaders, assuring that they have the full support of the Municipal Local Government Unit.


Having been trusted by the people to lead them in the next two years, Dagadag told the newly-elected officials to always think what’s best for the barangay and to serve their constituents well.


“Gapu ta dakayu iti imbutos ken kayat ti barangay yu nga mangidaulo kanyada ket ipapati ken aramiden yu amin nga pagsayaatan ti barangay yu. Expectarek ti na Apo Dios an nga trabaho yu amin,” he said.


"Aramiden tayo ti trabaho tayo nga nasayaat, ken saan tayo kuma mainaynayun kadagiti illegal activities, saan kuma nga makitkita nga makisugsugal kadagiti sugalan wennu natayan. Masapul ipakita tayo ti constituents tayo ti ustu nga public service, role model tayo dapat," he added.

As to those who lost the October 2023 Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan Elections, the mayor stressed that while they may not have been given the chance to be elected this year, there are still chances in the future.


“Ken dagijay saan met nga naikkan ti tsansa nga kandidato, congratulations latta ta pinadas yu. Dibale ta ammu mi nga adda met lang ti mayat nga planu yu ti Barangay yu ngem anya ngay ket isuda ti pinilin ti tattao. Ti pulitika agsisunublat dayta, isunga tulungan ta latta dagitoy napabilinan iti bar-barangay yu,” he said.


Mayor Dagadag, meantime, thanked the uniformed personnel, teachers, and those who served during the 2023 BSKE on Oct. 30 for the peaceful and orderly polls in Tanudan.
