Mayor Dickpus warns YLubuagens against fake vaccination cards

Lubuagan, Kalinga - During the weekly Kapihan sa Munisipyo of the Local Government Unit of Lubuagan on January 10, Mayor Charisma Anne Dickpus told residents not to engage in fraud, expressing concern about the use of fake vaccination cards.

Even if counterfeit vaccination cards are not reported in the municipality, Mayor Dickpus warned constituents not to commit such an act. The Mayor informed that checkpoints requiring vaccination cards before entry in areas outside the province are strict.

"Chipun cha payubusan nu lappun chi vaccination card lu. Ket adda dagita agig-iggem ti fake nga vaccination card, nu chumatong ked checkpoint, ma-trace cha pay laet," Mayor Dickpus said.

Dickpus explained that all vaccinated individuals are recorded in the government's health care department, thus fake vaccination cards could be easily detected and seized.

"Tollong yu ta baka matukmaan kayu chi laet un pay-a yu usayon un card. Use card un hachin genuine, card un maissue-wan chachin talagan nampa-vaccine," the mayor advised.

The Mayor pointed out the importance of having a legit vaccination card for safe mobility and avoidance of delays, encouraging the yLubuagens to have their anti-CoViD jab for their safe travel outside the municipality or the province, especially for necessities and emergencies.

“We are always reminding dagitoy kailyan tayu nga i-prioritize da iti agpa-vaccine tapnu uray man kaspangarigan lang ma-hawaan da ket haan nga kasdiay nga kaseryoso iti sitwasyon danto ken tapnu haan met a nga ma-compromise diay lugar nga mapanan da,” the Mayor informed through a separate virtual interview with Guru Press Cordillera.

Meantime, as of Friday last week, January 07,2022, Lubuagan’s Municipal Health Office reached 53.22% completed vaccination of its target population or 3,389 fully vaccinated individuals aged 10 years old and above. In addition, there were at least 4,296 individuals who had their first dose.

Vaccination activity in the municipality is done daily whenever vaccines are readily available.
