Mayor Estrañero says BLGUs will take care of relief assistance for constituents

Tabuk City, Kalinga―Tabuk City Mayor Darwin Estrañero said Barangay Local Government Units (BLGUs) shall start disbursing their calamity funds for them to start distributing relief assistance to those residents in need from their respective barangays.

The city mayor, during his talk on the radio regarding the relief assistance intended for the residents which are affected by the 14-day lockdown imposed in the city, said possible beneficiaries shall be based on the list of previous Social Amelioration Program (SAP) distribution where names are identified as individuals who are in need.

Hence, he said that barangay officials were already instructed to begin laying out their funds so beneficiaries can be able to receive the relief assistance.

Moreover, he remarked that assistance shall be food packs to ensure funds shall not go to waste. He guaranteed that there will be no problem on the procurement as they know the process.
