Meet Baguio's Michael Jackson, a new wonder on session road

Baguio City, Philippines – King of Pop Michael Jackson’s iconic dance and music continue to live through in Baguio City with his Cordilleran impersonator.

Every Sunday, Session Road becomes a place where individuals get to enjoy public performances from various artists – cosplayers, singers, dancers, and impersonators.

Among the performers is Jackson’s tribute artist, 27-year-old Daryl Verzosa, who has been an avid fan of the King of Pop since he was 13.

While he has a hectic schedule working at a call center, Verzosa still makes time to give joy to people and to allow them to reminisce and experience Jackson’s timeless moves and music through him.

The artist, in his interview with PTV Cordillera, conveyed his admiration for the late American singer, “he is the greatest musician and he dominated the pop culture of music. He’s been an inspiration to all and he has a good heart of helping others.”

When Verzosa was asked about his advice to other impersonators, he stressed, “continue to learn every day, just continue, don’t stop kapag nagkaroon tayo ng problema sa buhay, always continue [to] learn because that’s how we grow. Patuloy lang po tayong magdasal sa Panginoon.”
