Miss Kalinga 2025: Top 15 candidates to compete for the crown selected

Tabuk City, Kalinga - The quest for the title of Miss Kalinga 2025 has officially begun as 15 stunning, skilled, and self-assured contestants competing for the esteemed crown were officially revealed on Friday, January 17, 2025.

 

Centered on the theme "Elevating Timeless Beauty and Elegance," this year's Miss Kalinga pageant promises to put the spotlight on the beauty, talents, and intelligence of the province's finest young women.

 

Prior to the announcement of the top 15, a total of 22 hopeful candidates underwent a grueling screening process on said day, conducted by the Miss Kalinga 2025 Committee.

 

Governor James Edduba attended the screening, delivered an uplifting message to the candidates, and reminded them to embody the yKalinga's fundamental values—Paniyaw, Ngilin, and Bain—throughout the competition.

 

The evaluation involved measurements of heights, casual ramp walks, and interviews to evaluate the candidates' composure, character, and communication skills.

 

Judges paid careful attention to how each of the candidates walked, carried themselves, and responded to the audience. After thorough evaluations, the top 15 candidates were finally adjudged.

 

LIST OF 15 CANDIDATES that made it to the competition

 

The top fifteen selected candidates to compete for the crown are Ms. Claire Baguitan, Ms. Christine Joy Bagwingan, Ms. Jemmae Biangdan, Ms. Shaila Mae Dumalan, Ms. Angel Destiny Garcia, Ms. Guiajill Garrino, Ms. Raize Jane Gatin, Ms. Madelyn Gazzingan, Ms. Ezra Kiser Lagasi, Ms. Anita Nawi, Ms. Fatima Rose Peralta, Ms. Ehdrian Nicole Pinated, Ms. Lea Kim Salipnget, Ms. Marry Ann Solog, and Ms. Fanle Valdez.

 

These young women will soon show their talents and creative ethnic attires, and undergo casual interviews in the pre-pageant event to be held in the coming days.

 

The coronation event is scheduled on February 13, where the participants will compete in different categories, including swimsuit, Kalinga traditional attire, and evening gown.

 

They will likewise have the opportunity to present their advocacy initiatives and engage in the traditional question-and-answer portion, where they will demonstrate their wit, wisdom, and eloquence.

 

The winner of the pageant will represent the Province Kalinga in other higher pageantry as well as serve in several community-related works, empowering women and inspiring others through advocacy and service.

 

The Miss Kalinga 2025 pageant is among the main highlights of the upcoming Kalinga 30th Founding Anniversary and 6th Bodong Festival to be celebrated in February.
