Isabela, Philippines – The possible location of the missing Cessna plane with tail number RPC-1174 has been tracked in Barangay Dicaruyan in Divilacan, Isabela.

The ‘Site Alpha’ was revealed by Incident Management Team Commander, Attorney Constante Foronda through a press briefing this Friday, January 27.

The possible area was described to be 10 kilometers away from the cell site in Maconacon, Isabela.

The Cessna plane, declared missing on January 24 after it failed to reach its supposed destination, was allegedly spotted by a farmer in Divilacan. The said farmer told the search and rescue team he saw the plane in distress and was heading towards the Pacific Ocean before it turned towards the Sierra Madre.

The information shared by a citizen was taken into account particularly that his description matched the yet-to-be-found Cessna plane.

As of writing, authorities struggle to expedite the search and rescue operation due to the bad weather brought about by Northeast Monsoon. While there are already personnel deployed for ground search, aerial is seen to be the fastest way to locate the plane.
