Isabela, Philippines – The lone passenger of the aircraft that went missing in Isabela on November 30 was found lifeless by K9 tracker dog.

The Piper PA-32-300 of Fliteline Airways and operated by Cyclone Airways was supposed to arrive at Palanan Airport around 44 minutes after departing from Cauayan Airport at 9:39 a.m. of said day. However, the plane lost its communication with the Cauayan Airport tower and went missing.

On Tuesday, the aircraft was located in the vicinity of Barangay Casala, San Mariano, Isabela.

The remains of the pilot, Captain Levy N. Abul II, were discovered on Thursday. Back then, the passenger was not in the vicinity of the wreckage site and was believed to have survived “as indicated by a makeshift shelter that she presumably put up near the wreckage.”

At 9:15 a.m. on Sunday, Wheel, one of the scent-tracking dogs deployed to help the search and rescue teams found her body about 200 meters down the mountain slope from the plane wreckage, said the commander of the Incident Management Team, Constante Foronda.

The passenger was identified as Erma Escalante, 43, from Palanan, Isabela where her remains were ferried to.
