Missing student in Ifugao found buried in landslide

Tinoc, Ifugao – The reported missing student in Tinoc has been laid to rest by her family on Tuesday, May 24, after her body was retrieved from a landslide in Barangay Tukucan, Tinoc.

The criminology student was identified as Orelia Damacio, single and a resident of the aforementioned barangay.

In a social media post by her relatives, Damacio was missing since May 19 but was only found 4 days after.

As narrated by her relative in a Facebook post, Damacio who came from Banooy, Loo, Buguias, travelled using a Honda XRM motorcycle.

“Madaling araw ng May 19 Thursday oras ng alas 3 umalis sya sa Banooy (Loo, Buguias) papuntang Tukucan, or Impugung o di kaya sa Bayombong ngunit di na sya nakarating sa lahat ng lugar na nabanggit, di na rin po siya ma-contact simula noon,” the relative narrated in a Facebook post.

They then asked for help in locating Damacio through Facebook and also asked the assistance of Tinoc Municipal Police Station on Monday, May 23, but the victim’s family later found the remains of Damacio.
