Mom of 4 with TB Meningitis asks help for medication

For four months, Jessica Rigor Mundo, a mother of four in Tabuk City hasn’t left her bed and has been relying on a tube to take in food.

Jessica, 31, a resident of Laya West, Tabuk City, was diagnosed on January 8 this year with Tuberculous meningitis. The disease is said to be life-threatening when left untreated.

Crystal Krisha Cortez, Jessica’s cousin-in-law told GURU Press Cordillera that the latter is currently bed-ridden and is experiencing bedsores. She also described that a tube has been attached to the patient’s nose for her food.

No source of living

Crystal shared that Jessica’s husband used to work as an electrician but he had to stop working to take care of his wife and kids.

She added that the couple’s children are only 10, 9, 5, and 1 year and 5 months old. Their first child is in 3rd grade while the 2nd one stopped as she failed to catch the second semester when she transferred back to Tabuk.

Jessica’s Needs

Among Jessica’s needs that need to be maintained include her medicines, oxygen, vitamins, and her regular check-ups. However, now that her husband has no job, the family can hardly sustain her ongoing medication.

For this reason, Crystal and their family are knocking on people’s hearts for any amount to help them provide for the medication of Jessica whose kids are very much young.
