Tanudan, Kalinga eyes more infrastructure development projects for better roads

Tanudan, Kalinga- Mayor Jaedicke Rhoss Dagadag proposed various infrastructure development projects in Tanudan to provide quality access road and at the same time alleviate the lives of the people in the municipality.


In the last three years, Tanudan has seen visible progress due to infra projects which include bridges, road widening and openings.


On August 30, 2022, Dagadag paid a courtesy visit to the Office of Tabuk City Mayor and Provincial Governor to request funds for the improvement of Tabuk-Allubaggan Tanudan road and Liyang, Pangol bridge.


In an interview, Dagadag relayed that the bridge improvement will benefit 2,000 people residing at the sitios linked by said bridge. He added that the proposed bridge will help the farmers of Tanudan easily transport their products such as corn, vegetables, banana and fruits, especially during the rainy season.

Ti problema, nu agtudo ta haan nga makaballasiw dagiay residente, ken haan nga maitransport dagidiay produkto da nga mais, vegetables, saba, ken fruits,” he said.


Further, the mayor said he wanted the road from Tabuk going to Allubaggan to be concreted for the road to be accessible to the people traversing the said road.


Dagadag is hopeful that his proposed development projects will receive a positive response as these he said will be benefited not only their municipality but other travelers from other places as well.


Tabuk-Banaue via Tanudan national road assured funding


Meantime, during his visit to the Office of the District Engineer Ruby Atienza Uyam on the same day, Dagadag was informed that the proposed Tabuk-Banaue via Tanudan national road is one of the infrastructure projects in the province that has been approved and will be funded by Department of Public Works Highways (DPWH).


Said project was initiated by Congressman Allen Jesse Capuyan Mangaoang.


Moreover, Dagadag also made a visit on Friday, September 2 at the Vice Governor’s office to request funds for the continuation of Lonas Hanging bridge in Lower Taloctoc and the open gym at Banagao Poblacion.
