MOST IMPROVED Municipality in Kalinga: Mayor Dagadag receives DTI and KPLGU recognition, says Tanudan is not left behind in development

Tanudan, Kalinga – “Tanudan is not being left behind in terms of development…and in spite of calamities and challenges that have slowed down some progress, we continue to strive for growth and improvement,” Mayor JaedickeRhossDagadag has this to say after Tanudan was cited as the ‘Most Improved Municipality’ in Kalinga.

Having set a ‘benchmark for continuous improvement in the region’, Mayor Dagadag, on behalf of the officialdom and the people of Tanudan, received the citation from the Department of Trade and Industry and the Kalinga Provincial Local Government at the Kalinga Astrodome in Bulanao, Tabuk City last February 14.

The mayor who has been championing progress in the municipality since 2019 conveyed that the development in Tanudan unfolded step by step over the past years with the previous leaders prioritizing the needs of the constituents. When he became the mayor almost six years ago, he leveraged on the legacies of his predecessors, and expanded the town’s growth – bringing more infrastructures, projects, and programs in the municipality. 

While Tanudan is continuously living up to its ‘Progressive Tanudan’ tagline, the mayor emphasized this would have been impossible without the full support of the LGU officials, employees, and the iTanudans.

“This collective commitment to growth and development has allowed Tanudan to thrive and overcome challenges, ensuring that the community remains on a path of sustainable progress and prosperity,” the mayor mentioned in a statement.

According to Dagadag, the public can expect further growth in the municipality in the coming years as it is identified as the eco-tourism landscape of Kalinga, and that the LGU through its Municipal Tourism headed by Tourism Officer Aurie Mae Banson aims to strengthen the tourism industry which will serve as a gateway to employment and income generation.

Going hand in hand with progress is the maintenance of peace and order, the mayor also emphasized, which is why the authorities in the municipality are closely watching activities to ensure the safety and welfare of the public.

“By focusing on the pillars of government, we can unlock more opportunities for growth and improve the quality of life for our community,” the mayor further pointed out.
