Mostly young adults (21-30 years old) involved in road accidents in Tabuk – PNP Tabuk data

Tabuk City, Kalinga – Young adults are mostly the ones involved in vehicular traffic accidents in the city for the first quarter of 2022, according to PNP Tabuk data.


This is something different from perception pointing that most of those involved in road accidents in Tabuk City are minors.


Data from Tabuk City Police Station showed that there were 25 cases of road crashes in Tabuk from January to March this year involving 41 individuals.

Of these 41 drivers and riders, 21 belong to the 21 – 30 years old age bracket, followed by those aged 31 to 40 years old with 10 cases. Those aged 11 to 20 years old involved four riders.


In comparison with the cases reported for the first quarter in 2021, young adults still top the list with 8 drivers being victims of road accidents. This is followed by 31-40 years old then 11-20 years old age bracket.


For the whole year of 2021, there were 128 individuals who were documented to have been involved in vehicular traffic accidents and 28.90% of them belong to the 21-30 age group; 24.22% are between 11 to 20 years old; 23.44% are 31 to 40; 14.84% are 41-50; and 8.59% are 51 years old and above.

In 2020, 35.71% of the 224 drivers who were victims of road accidents were young adults; 23.66% are 31-40 years old; 16.07% are 11-20 years old; 14.73% are 41-50 years old; and 9.82% are 51 years old and above.
