Ready for mountain trekking? Join 4th Bodong Festival in Kalinga


Tabuk City, Kalinga – The province of Kalinga calls for interested mountain trekkers to participate in the launching of the Lumin-Awa Kalinga Mountain Trekking Adventure this February 2-5, 2023.


“Explore Kalinga with your own two feet by embarking on a trekking adventure with the Lumin-awa trekkers this February! There are a million ways to travel, but few resonate in the way that trekking does. Get back to nature, challenge yourself and enter landscapes well beyond our urban environments,” invites the Kalinga - Tourism Services thru a Facebook post Monday, January 9.

The mountain escapade serves as one of the highlights of the Bodong Festival which will run from January 20 to February 20, 2023.


The activity will allow participants to experience three-night camping and four-day mountain trekking as they unravel promising destinations in the province from Balatoc and Colayo, Pasil to Tulgao, Tinglayan.


Tourism destinations that they will catch sight of include the famous Sulfur Mountain, Mt. Butilao, Copper Mountain, Hugwik Falls, Laroy Falls, Anga-ang Falls, Palang-ah Falls, Ergwitan Rice Terraces, Colayo River and Tulgao Rice Rice Terraces.

Bodong Festival will have its grand kick-off on February 6, 2023.
