Mr. and Miss Mt. Province crowns 2024 royalty


Mt. Province, Philippines – A young gent and his lady partner now have duty of representing Mt. Province after having been named Mr. and Ms. Mountain Province 2024 at the Eyeb Grounds, Bontoc on Wednesday, April 3.

 

Jeremiah Aquino, 18, representing Besao town; and Amirah Kaye Nafu, 22, of Sadanga, both emerged victorious after showcasing not just their beauty but also their wit and personality in multiple categories.

 

Aquino shared the event helped him build his self-confidence as he had been an introvert, and it was during the coronation night that he first conquered his stage freight and stood in front of the big audience.

 

Aside from the title and the coveted crown, he was likewise named Mr. Photogenic, Best in Swim Trunks, Best in Creative Costume, and Best in Formal Wear.

 

Meanwhile, Nafu who finished her degree in avionics technology as magna cum laude with leadership award, proved her excellence as she edged out other candidates to clinch the crown. She also bagged Best in Evening Gown, Best in Swimsuit, Miss Photogenic, and Ms. Tupperware awards.

 

During the question and answer, she emphasized the need for exemplary leadership to challenge existing gender stereotypes. As a seasoned aviator and pilot, she acknowledged the prevalent gender disparities within the aviation industry, yet staunchly advocated that gender should never dictate one's professional trajectory.

 

Other winners

 

Jonalyn Fokleg of Bontoc and Kelley Kurt de Vera Pel-ingen of Tadian concluded their campaign as first runners up. Fokleg was awarded with Miss Wit and Miss Coca-cola Body.

 

Further, Miss Eizle Kryz Kag-ayed from Sagada, and Mr. Faizal Gubia-on of Paracelis landed on the spots of second runners up. Kag-ayed got Best in Creative Costume award, while Gubia-on was named Mr. Wit and Best in Ethnic Attire.

 

Miss Naiza Carlos of Paracelis was hailed as Ms. Congeniality and Best in Ethnic Attire. Mr. Rhamcy Palangchao of Sabangan got Mr. Congeniality, while Mr. Japhet Anaban of Sagada and Miss Rosgil Atonen of Bauko were named Best in Talent.
