Mr. & Ms. Cordillera Autonomy Youth Ambassador 2023: Official candidates named

Baguio City, Philippines – Benguet representatives completed the list of the official candidates for this year’s search for Mr. & Ms. Youth Ambassador for Cordillera Autonomy.

Six pairs will be vying for the titles. Ifugao did not name their candidates yet.

Contenders from Abra (Almie Jane Paned and RJ Sean Maverick Jaquias Claustro), Apayao (Jazreal Jamila Enciso and Eddiemar Pacis), Baguio City (Angelika Josierry Servinas and Jan Marveeno B. Palispis), Kalinga (Angelina Lhodievin Dupaya and Godwin Bomosao), and Mt. Province (Maryjean Bugnosen and Ran Jyle Dulay) were first introduced.

Benguet bets were later named – Kristine A. Dilao from Bakun, Benguet and Toledo, Cebu; and Arnel C. Labisa from Mankayan, Benguet.

Dilao was crowned as Miss Benguet – Culture 2022 and is pursuing Bachelor of Science in Nursing at Easter College, while Labisa is studying Bachelor of Science Degree in Architecture at Saint Louis University. He was named Mr. Mankayan 2022 and is the reigning Mr. Benguet.

The candidates will tell more of themselves during their casual interview on July 01 at the Atrium of SM City Baguio where they will likewise showcase their talent, culture and heritage.

The Mr. & Ms. Cordillera Autonomy Youth Ambassador 2023, next to title holders Mr. Shawn Michael Barila of Kalinga and Ms. Angela May Respicio of Abra, will be crowned on July 14 in Luna, Apayao.

Launched in 2022, said search is among the highlights of the Cordillera Month celebration which intends to heighten awareness and inspire participation of the youth sector in the region’s pursuit towards self-determination and governance.
