Bontoc, Mt. Province—Delivery of public health services and audit operations in Mt. Province got a further boost with the two brand-new 2025 Isuzu MU-X vehicles worth P5.4 million acquired by the province’s two offices recently.

As reported by the Mountain Province Provincial Information Office, the vehicles, valued at approximately P2.7 million each, were provided to the Provincial Health Office and the Commission on Audit (COA) using the fund that came from the Local Government Support Fund-Financial Assistance to Local Government Units (LGSF-FALGU) program.

Under the Department of Budget and Management (DBM), said program aims to provide financial assistance to LGUs nationwide, enabling them to carry out infrastructure initiatives and obtain necessary equipment or facilities that enhance public service delivery.

The blessing of the newly procured vehicles was held on April 10, 2025, and is expected to enhance the mobility and field capabilities of the said offices.

For the PHO, the vehicle will help them reach remote communities more efficiently for medical missions and monitoring, while for the COA, the vehicle will help them in their audit and inspection duties across the province.

The turnover of these vehicles reflects the provincial government and DBM’s ongoing commitment to improving local services in the province and the country as a whole.
