Mt. Province kids snatch 26 medals in 2023 Panagbenga Invitational Karate Tournament

Mt. Province, Philippines – Proving their prowess, 12 young athletes from Mt. Province snatched nine gold medals, five silvers, and 12 bronze medals in the Panagbenga Invitational Karate Tournament held over the weekend in Baguio City.


Denice Avery Y. Paredes who competed in 8 – 9 years old category bagged four golds – one each for Novice Kata, Intermediate Kata, Advance Kata, and Kumite, the provincial government of Mt. Province in a press release said.


Hayden Franz Sabiano emerged as gold medalist both in Novice Kata and Novice Kumite of 12 – 13 years old (girls) category.

Guinay Patingan grabbed gold medal in the Novice Kata in the 10 – 11 years old category; silver in Intermediate Kata; and bronze in Advance Kata, Intermediate Kumite and Advance Kumite of said age bracket.


Meanwhile, Ghrenston Limante Jr. is a gold medalist in Novice Kata and ended as silver medalist in Advance Kata under 10 – 11 years old (boys) category.


Rhassel Ted Aldea who competed in 12 – 13 years old (boys) category was awarded with gold medal in Novice Kata and with bronze in Advance Kata.


Innawan Layogan brought home silver in Novice Kata under 12 – 13 years old (girls) category.


Further, Christian Payocyoc is a silver medalist in Intermediate Kata, and bronze medalist in Advance Kata, both under 14 – 15 years old category.

Harold Pilayan was able to end his campaign also as silver medalist in Intermediate Kata, and as bronze medalist in Novice Kata of 15 – 16 years old (boys) category.


In addition, Jheaner Bangdo got bronze in Novice Kata under 12 – 13 years old (boys) category. Other bronze medalists are Nickilen Calde (Novice Kumite of 14 – 15 years old girls), Alfred Joseph Cabingue (Intermediate Kata of 14 – 15 years old boys), and Shawn Daniel Serrano for Novice Kata and Advance Kumite of 16 – 17 years old.


Kizia Zhailen Dangeo and James Ryan Te-elan also joined in the 11 – 12 years old (girls) and 12 – 13 years old, respectively.
