Multi-vehicle collision in Isabela kills 1, injures 2

Naguilian, Isabela – A collision involving three vehicles in Barangay Magaysay, Naguilian, Isabela Thursday, October 22 claimed the life of a 24-year-old man and left two students injured.

Police identified the fatality as Jander Allam, 24, single, and a resident of San Juan, San Mariano, Isabela.


Individuals injured are Mary Jane Laggui, 17, and Gian Guittu, 15, both are residents of Guibang, Gamu, Isabela.


PMaj Juneil Perez, chief of Naguilian Police Station, through 98.5 i-FM Cauayan, relayed the accident occurred at around 11:40 AM on October 27 along the National Highway of said barangay that involved a Nissan Patrol, passenger Jeep, and a Toyota Fortuner.

The investigation said two students and six sheep were on board an improvised trailer attached to a Nissan Patrol on the said national road when the rope connecting to the Nissan Patrol got loose, causing the trailer to crash into the incoming Toyota Fortuner and a passenger jeep.


Police narrated the 24-year-old Allam was pinned under the Toyota Fortuner. Allam sustained serious head injuries, resulting in his immediate death.


Meantime, the two students who were injured in the accident were brought to Providers Medical Center for treatment.


The driver of Nissan Patrol named as certain Raymond Ruel, 52, a resident of Minante II, Cauayan of said province, is now in the custody of PNP Naguilian.


The driver will face a case of Reckless Imprudence Resulting in Homicide, Physical Injuries, and Damage to Properties.
