"Namnamen yo ti panagtultuloy dagiti programa iti LGU para kadakayo”—Mayor Juan to Solo parents in Flora

Flora, Apayao - Mayor Rodolfo B. Juan on Wednesday, Sept. 18 pledged for continuous support to solo parents in town, assuring them that the LGU will sustain the program's budget allocation.

In his message during the payout of the 36 Solo parents across barangays at the LGU conference hall, the Mayor guaranteed the beneficiaries that the LGU's social services and initiatives will be prolonged, prioritizing their well-being and happiness.

"Agingga siak ti Mayor yo, haan tu pulus nga agsardeng daytoy nga programa(solo parents aid) para kadakayo, numanpay adu dagiti sabali nga programa iti municpyo para iti kailyan tayo, punduwan tayo daytoy nga agtultuloy ta kayat ko naragsak kayo amin," Mayor Juan emphasized.

As staunch advocate of his people's welfare, Mayor Juan, along with Vice Mayor Jeofrey Blas and the Sangguniang Bayan affirmed to continue to look and source out for other assistance which will benefit residents.

Moreover, MSSW In-charge Irish Venus C. Sana said the 36 Solo parents received their financial grant amounting to P3,000 each for the first quarter of 2024. She said recipients are granted P1,000 per month, with the LGU shouldering the P500. They are hoping that the other half will be covered by the Apayao PLGU as they have respectfully proposed.

On the other hand, recipients expressed their appreciation for LGU and MSWDO's programs saying they heartily feel the care and support of the government, amidst the challenges they face as single parents, especially in rearing their children alone.
