Tabuk City, Kalinga— Mountain Province still has the most number of singles, according to Department of Agriculture-CAR which surveyed farmers in the region.

If you are from Kalinga and still looking for a special someone? Maybe you should try to find that one in the farming community, as over seven thousand farmers in the province are still single.

DA-CAR data said there are 7,157 single farmers in Kalinga as of February 14, 2025.

Of the total number, 4,368 are males and  2,789 are females.

The figure shows that many Ikalinga farmers are still dedicated to farming despite being unmarried, which could be an interesting opportunity for those searching for a partner in life and, at the same time, a connection to rural living.

Aside from Kalinga, the trend continues with other provinces and city in the Cordillera region, also showing a notable number of single farmers.

Based on the data from the regional agricultural department, the province of Abra also has 9,314 single farmers; Apayao has 3,667; Baguio City has 633; Benguet has 16,388; Ifugao has 11,076; and Mt. Province has 15,237.

In terms of marital status, most of the farmers in the region are married, with 74.98 percent of them having spouses. However, 6.99 percent of them are widowed, while 1.50 percent are separated.

The data excludes deceased, inactive, and duplicated entries, the agency noted.
