Nephew kills uncle with a metal pipe on Christmas Eve in Isabela

San Isidro, Isabela – A 63-year-old man died from fatal head injuries after he was hit in the head with a metal pipe multiple times by his own nephew at Sitio Camarag, San Isidro, Isabela.

The incident transpired on December 24, according to police.

The victim, Melchor Dolores, and his nephew were having a drinking spree on the said date when an argument began as they became increasingly intoxicated.

The verbal altercation worsened which led the victim to get a metal pipe and threatened the suspect that he would kill his father.

The threat, according to authorities, aggravated the suspect’s anger prompting him to snatch the pipe from his uncle and hit the latter three times in the head.

Due to the hitting, the elderly sustained fatal wounds that caused his immediate death.

The suspect, who was accompanied by barangay officials, voluntarily surrendered to the police.
